Expeditions
Expeditions are a system of tasks for tracking a satellite that is falling out of orbit. The satellite was inhabited by scientists who were developing blueprints; when the craft was damaged, these blueprints ended up scattered across the expedition locations. The player sends out reconnaissance to these points to gather information about the satellite and find the surviving blueprints — without leaving the base. Each expedition runs for a set time, runs in the background, and on completion gives out a random set of trophies.
There are five main points in total, lined up into a story chain — from Outpost to Launch Site. Each next one unlocks only after the previous one is completed, and the further down the chain, the more expensive the launch and the more valuable the loot. Daily Recon (Outpost) stands apart — it's free, doesn't belong to the chain and is available once per day on cooldown.
How it works
The player picks an available expedition and presses "Launch". The launch costs EXP (except for the free daily one), after which the expedition starts running on a timer. Only one expedition can be running at a time. Throughout you can see progress in percent and how much time is left. When the timer hits 100%, the expedition can be claimed.
Rewards
Each expedition fills from a few to five trophy slots, drawn randomly from its own pool. The higher the level of the point, the higher the tier of the loot: early expeditions mostly give base blueprints, later ones — blueprints for weapons, armor and explosives of the top tier. Every pool always has a small chance of a jackpot regardless of the level. Additionally, on claim there's a 5% chance to refund the EXP spent on the launch.
Storage
Received trophies don't go straight into the inventory but into the Storage. From there each item can be either taken into the inventory or exchanged back for EXP — so unwanted loot is converted into currency for the next, more expensive expeditions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Exclusively blueprints. These are the very developments of the scientists from the satellite that survived the damage and were scattered across the locations. The reward of an expedition is the study of blueprints, not finished items in the inventory. The closer the point is to the source of the signal, the more valuable the blueprints in its pool.
They go in a single chain: Gas Station → Underwater Labs → Deep Sea → Satellite Dish → Launch Site. Each next one unlocks only after the previous one is completed. By default Daily Recon and Gas Station are available — progression starts from them.
Cost and number of trophies grow together with the level of the point:
- Outpost (daily) — free, 3-5 trophies, once a day
- Gas Station — 1 EXP, 1-3 trophies
- Underwater Labs — 2 EXP, 2-3 trophies
- Deep Sea — 3 EXP, 2-4 trophies
- Satellite Dish — 4 EXP, 3-4 trophies
- Launch Site — 5 EXP, 3-5 trophies
It's free and not part of the main chain, but is only available once a day on cooldown. Handy as a steady source of trophies without spending EXP.
