Radio Beacon

Radio Beacon is a deployable event that a player can place directly on the map. The beacon drops from elite loot (elite crates, underwater crates, heli crates, supply drops) and is placed like an ordinary deployable. No more than 15 beacons can be on the map at the same time.

Once placed, the beacon goes through three 5-minute stages — 15 minutes of activation in total. During this time the beacon is marked on the map, and next to it there's a timer with the current stage and a countdown. The owner has to hold the zone: their task is to keep other players out of the capture radius (15 meters around the beacon).

Enemy Capture

While the beacon is still activating, any other player can try to hijack it. To do that they need to stay in the capture zone for a total of 2 minutes — the capture progress grows while an enemy is in the zone and slowly rolls back if the zone is cleared. If the progress reaches 100%, the beacon goes to the attacker: the enemy closest to the beacon takes it for themselves and can redeploy it under their own control. The map marker changes color as it's being captured — green → orange → yellow → red — so the fight for the beacon is visible from afar.

Activation and Loot

If the owner held the beacon through all three stages and it wasn't hijacked — the beacon activates. The vending machine unlocks and is filled with the reward, and all nearby players receive a notification. From this moment you have 5 minutes to loot — you need to grab the reward within that time, otherwise the beacon self-destructs along with all of the loot. Important: after activation you can no longer hijack the beacon — all that's left is to manage to loot it.
